Mumbai, Nov 6: The Haj Committee of India has directed all selected pilgrims for Haj 2027 (1448 Hijri) to deposit the second instalment of Rs 1.25 lakh per pilgrim by November 30, warning that failure to meet the deadline could result in cancellation of their allotted seats.
According to a circular issued by the Haj Committee of India under the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, pilgrims can make payments online through the committee’s official website, www.hajcommittee.gov.in, or the Haj Suvidha App using credit cards, debit cards or net banking.
The committee said pilgrims can also deposit the amount at any branch of the State Bank of India or Union Bank of India through the prescribed pay-in-slip, using the unique Bank Reference Number allotted to each cover.
It emphasised that the Bank Reference Number must be mentioned on the deposit receipt to ensure proper identification and processing of payments.
The committee further clarified that the third and final instalment would be calculated after the finalisation of expenses in India and Saudi Arabia, with the remaining amount to be communicated to pilgrims subsequently.
Urging selected pilgrims to complete the payment process within the stipulated period, the committee warned that non-payment of the second instalment by November 30 could lead to cancellation of their Haj seats. (KNS)
