Baramulla, Apr 30: As the government claimed adequate availability of COVID vaccine in Jammu and Kashmir, the district administration Baramulla on Friday admitted the shortage of vaccine, saying that the vaccine will be made available soon.
Reacting to the shortage of vaccine at Baramulla hospital, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar said that there is a shortage of vaccine at present and they are expecting a vaccine delivery soon. “We will ensure the availability of vaccine shortly,” he said.
He, however, said that there was no need to worry and told the reporters that they have started the registration process for the vaccination drive already, adding that the vaccine will be made available very shortly.
“After inoculation, it takes some time to develop immunity and people should not take any chance as getting vaccinated is the additional protection amid the spike in the COVID cases,” he said.
