Govt appoints Nodal Officer for monitoring, installation of oxygen plants

Srinagar, May 1: In view of Covid-19 spike in Jammu and Kashmir, government authorities have Saturday sanctioned accord to the appointment of Er. Semi Arif Yaswi as Nodal Officer for monitoring and installation of Oxygen plants at various Government Medical College and other Hospitals of Jammu Division on certain terms and conditions, an order says.

Yaswi, according to the said Government Order No.: 168 -PW(R&B) of 2021 Dated: 30.04.2021, a copy of which is in possession of news agency Global News Service (GNS), has been asked to ensure the easy passage of the plants and machinery to the respective locations, where these are to be installed in close liaison with the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu and respective Deputy Commissioners of Jammu Division.

“He shall ensure the adherence of timelines fixed in the contract document for installation of these Oxygen Plans besides ensuring that all the plant and machinery being installed is within the prescribed specification mentioned in the contract document alongside submitting the progress report for the installation of these Oxygen plants to the administrative departments on daily basis at 5pm”, the order states.

It is further stated that the services of Babu Ram, Incharge Executive Engineer (Mechanical) are kept at disposal of Er. Sami Arif Yaswi, Nodal officer (Development Commissioner (Works)) for the activity. (GNS)
