Srinagar, May 11: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Ghulam Ahmad Mir on Tuesday emphasized the government to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity and availability of essentials on Eid-ul-Fitr, besides keeping tight vigil on over pricing in view of Eid festival.
Amid ongoing surge in Covid-19 cases in J&K, Mir reiterated his appeal to people to adhere to SOPs strictly to break the Covid chain.
In a statement, JKPCC President has sought uninterrupted supply of electricity and availability essentials on Eid-ul-Fitr, besides keeping a tight vigil on over pricing.
There have been reports of over pricing on essentials, which has to be dealt sternly, in the larger interests of consumers, Mir added.
JKPCC President also reiterated his appeal to people to take extra caution and prefer remaining indoors unless it is extremely necessary for them to go out to ensure that the current alarming situation is contained, besides ensuring safety of precious lives of people.
