Baramulla, May 12: A 36-year-old man who had crossed over to Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK) in 2017, four years back, returned to his native place in the Hathlanga area of Uri in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday and surrendered before the security forces.
Police, in a statement said that a 36-year-old man from Hathlanga village of Uri Baramulla namely Shabir Ahmad Cheechi son of Ghulam Mohammad Cheechi who had illegally went to to PaK in October 2017 and was residing there, infiltrated to this side late night.
“After reaching his home he surrendered before Army’s 3 Rajput Unit and Baramulla Police,” the statement reads. It reads that no recoveries were made from him.
The statement reads that a case under relevant law stands registered in Police Station Uri and investigation has been taken up. (KNO)
