Srinagar, Jun 8: Publicity Secretary J&K, Incharge BJP Central Kashmir, Arif Raja Tuesday kickstarted drainage work in Majeed Bagh Eidgah Ganderpora.
Speaking on the occasion, Raja said, “There was no drainage system in the area from last 60 years. The people were facing immense hardships and as a BJP leader and corporator I took up the issue with higher authorities during My Town My Pride campaign. Subsequently, the funds were released and today work on the drainage system started.”
He further added that BJP is fully committed to the Prime Minister’s Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas Vision by resolving the grievances’ of people.
Meanwhile, people of the area have hailed Raja and administration for fulfilling the decades old demand.
