Srinagar, Jul 5: The Jammu and Kashmir Union territory on Monday witnessed 06 deaths due to Covid-19 while 274 fresh positive cases were also reported, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 3,774.
With 06 more deaths the death toll in the UT has reached to 4,343 and 275 fresh positive cases reported on Monday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 317,250
Of the exact number of 317, 250 cases, 197,041 are from Kashmir division and 120,209 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 274 new cases, 161 belong to Kashmir division while as 113 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 197,041 including 120,209 recoveries and 2,224 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 120,209 including 116,425 recoveries and 2,119 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 3,774 including 2,109 from Kashmir division and 1,665 from Jammu division.
With 461 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 309,133 which is 97.44 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 53 from Srinagar, 10 from Baramulla, 12 from Budgam, 19 from Pulwama, 16 from Kupwara, 19 from Anantnag, 06 from Bandipora, 12 from Ganderbal, 12 from Kulgam and 02 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 113 from Jammu division include 04 from Jammu, 00 from Udhampur, 08 from Rajouri, 06 from Doda, 02 from Kathua, 02 from Samba, 04 from Kishtwar, 10 from Poonch, 05 from Ramban and 72 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Monday said that no fresh case of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the total cases of Mucormycosis stands at 30.
Out of 06 deaths reported today, 01 died in CHC Mendhar, 01 in GMC Doda, 01 in DH Poonch, 01 in Medicity SSH Jalandhar & 01 in GMC Baramulla & 01 in GMC Anantnag.
As per officials figures, 70,345 positive cases including 829 deaths and 68,792 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,329 including 280 deaths and 22,823 recoveries are from Baramulla, 22,668 including 22,250 recoveries and 204 deaths are from Budgam, 14,945 including 14,594 recoveries and 192 deaths are from Pulwama, 13,882 including 165 deaths and 13,523 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,172 including 15,825 recoveries and 204 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,344 cases including 9,141 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,672 including 9,414 recoveries and 76 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,123 including 10,853 recoveries and 116 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,561 including 5,493 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 52,442 including 50,812 recoveries and 1,136 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,197 including 10,998 recoveries and 131 deaths are from Udhampur, 10,751 including 10,426 recoveries and 220 deaths are from Rajouri, 6,913 including 6,582 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Doda, 9,219 including 9,051 recoveries and 149 deaths are from Kathua, 7,091 including 6,916 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Samba, 4,515 including 4,357 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,138 including 5,856 recoveries and 94 deaths are from Poonch, 5,872 including 5,719 recoveries and 65 deaths are from Ramban and 6,071 including 5,708 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 2,479,588 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 10,200 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 3,774 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,218,892 persons have completed the surveillance period and 242,349 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 10,255,161 samples are available. Out of 10,255,161 the number of samples tested negative stands at 9,937,911 while as 317,250 have tested positive, among them 3,774 persons are active, 309,133 persons have recovered and 4,343 persons have died.
