Nobody can afford the third wave, being predicted by the health experts across the country including Jammu and Kashmir. The situation that has been witnessed since the outbreak of Covid-19 has shattered the dreams of many people including young, old and children as well. People have lost their dear ones, businesses, jobs and what not. The nearly two year situation that arises due to Covid pandemic has affected one all and thus no one can afford any further losses in the future as well. However, an open violation to the Covid related guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) forces one to wonder whether people are serious in preventing the third wave. It seems that most of the people, who are out in markets and other busiest places are inviting the third wave to attack and affect the people like previous waves as most of the people can be seen even without face masks. One fails to understand how the people can be so careless at this juncture when the whole humanity has suffered a huge loss since March 2020. If we cannot care for ourselves, we should at least care for our dear ones, our neighbours and our society by following all the protocols to help in preventing the possible third wave. Everything is in our hands, we as a society can invite or prevent the third possible way. We need ponder the matter and ensure that the deadly virus is defeated once for all.
