Srinagar, Aug 24: Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday recorded one death and 125 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,055.
With one more death, the death toll in the UT stands at 4,404 and 125 fresh positive cases reported on Tuesday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 324,420.
Of the exact number of 324,420 cases, 201,585 are from Kashmir division and 122,835 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 104 new cases, 21 belong to Kashmir division while as 43 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 201,585 including 198,641 recoveries and 2,241 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 122,835 including 120,320 recoveries and 2,163 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,055 including 703 from Kashmir division and 352 from Jammu division.
With 123 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 318,961 which is 98.32 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 50 from Srinagar, 07 from Baramulla, 13 from Budgam, 10 from Pulwama, 02 from Kupwara, 00 from Anantnag, 12 from Bandipora, 08 from Ganderbal, 01 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 21 from Jammu division include 08 from Jammu, 03 from Udhampur, 03 from Rajouri, 03 from Doda, 01 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 02 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 01 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Tuesday said that one fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally reaches to 44.
As per officials figures, 72,042 positive cases including 834 deaths and 70,931 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,823 including 282 deaths and 23,476 recoveries are from Baramulla, 23,080 including 22,811 recoveries and 206 deaths are from Budgam, 15,295 including 15,078 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,212 including 166 deaths and 14,004 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,439 including 16,188 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,616 cases including 9,453 and 101 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,081 including 9,945 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,403 including 11,224 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,594 including 5,531 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 52,982 including 51,735 recoveries and 1,142 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,378 including 11,225 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,081 including 10,792 recoveries and 233 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,508 including 7,295 recoveries and 129 deaths are from Doda, 9,277 including 9,122 recoveries and 151 deaths are from Kathua, 7,134 including 7,007 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,747 including 4,663 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,308 including 6,187 recoveries and 97 deaths are from Poonch, 5,985 including 5,914 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,435 including 6,380 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 3,143,597 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 8,242 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,055 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,697,628 persons have completed the surveillance period and 432,268 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 12,993,388 samples are available. Out of 12,993,388 the number of samples tested negative stands at 12,993,388 while as 324,420 have tested positive, among them 1,055 persons are active, 318,961 persons have recovered and 4,404 persons have died.
