JK logs 126 new Covid-19 cases

Srinagar, Aug 25: Jammu & Kashmir reported 126 new coronavirus cases even as no person succumbed to the virus during 24 hours till 1700 hours on Wednesday, officials said.
26 of the cases were reported from Jammu Division and 100 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall case tally to 324546.
There was no death reported due to the pathogen, thus the fatality count remained at 4404 people—2163 in Jammu and 2241 in Kashmir, they said.
Providing the district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 51 cases, Baramulla 11, Budgam 12, Pulwama 9, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 2, Bandipora 4, Ganderbal 6, Kulgam 1, Shopian 1, Jammu 5, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 3, Doda 5, Kathua 6, Samba 0, Kishtwar 1, Poonch 4, Ramban 1 and Reasi 1.
A number of the cases in the Valley were confirmed at diagnostic laboratory of CD hospital here and include male (63) and female (21) from Lal Bazar, two males (27, 22) from Baghwanpora, female (50) from Rainawari, male (40) from Gasiyar, male (27) from Kanitar, male (45) from Zadibal, female (25) from Pinglena Pul, female (27) from Shalina Pampore, male (28) from Hawal, female (28) and male (30) from Bemina, male (72) from Lal Bazar, female (4) from Qamarwari, male (26) from Nowpora Srg, male (78) and female (47) from NA, male (27) from Soura, female (28) from Khanyar.
Moreover, the officials said that 103 more COVID-19 patients have recovered—24 from Jammu Division and 79 from the valley. So far, 319064 people have recovered, leaving active cases at 1078—354 in Jammu and 724 in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, no fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today, they said. So far 44 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added. (GNS)
