Coronavirus: JK reports 101 new cases

Srinagar, Aug 26: Jammu and Kashmir Thursday witnessed 101 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,060, however, no death was reported in the last 24-hours.
With no more deaths, the death toll in the Union Territory stands at 4,404 and 101 fresh positive cases reported on Thursday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 324,647.
Of the exact number of 324,647 cases, 201,769 are from Kashmir division and 122,878 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 101 new cases, 84 belong to Kashmir division while as 17 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 201,769 including 198,806 recoveries and 2,241 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 122,878 including 120,377 recoveries and 2,163 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,060 including 722 from Kashmir division and 338 from Jammu division.
With 119 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 319,183 which is 98.31 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 35 from Srinagar, 12 from Baramulla, 16 from Budgam, 10 from Pulwama, 05 from Kupwara, 00 from Anantnag, 00 from Bandipora, 03 from Ganderbal, 01 from Kulgam and 02 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 17 from Jammu division include 07 from Jammu, 01 from Udhampur, 02 from Rajouri, 03 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 01 from Kishtwar, 01 from Poonch, 01 from Ramban and 01 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Thursday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally reached 44.
As per officials figures, 72,128 positive cases including 834 deaths and 70,993 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,846 including 282 deaths and 23,487 recoveries are from Baramulla, 23,108 including 22,829 recoveries and 206 deaths are from Budgam, 15,314 including 15,083 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,220 including 166 deaths and 14,015 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,441 including 16,200 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,620 cases including 9,469 and 101 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,090 including 9,962 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,405 including 11,235 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,597 including 5,533 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 52,994 including 51,755 recoveries and 1,142 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,379 including 11,230 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,086 including 10,805 recoveries and 233 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,516 including 7,305 recoveries and 129 deaths are from Doda, 9,283 including 9,123 recoveries and 151 deaths are from Kathua, 7,134 including 7,007 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,749 including 4,665 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,313 including 6,190 recoveries and 97 deaths are from Poonch, 5,987 including 5,916 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,437 including 6,381 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 3,163,283 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 8,786 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,060 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,708,746 persons have completed the surveillance period and 440,287 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 13,101,676 samples are available. Out of 13,101,676 the number of samples tested negative stands at 12,777,029 while as 324,647 have tested positive, among them 1,060 persons are active, 319,183 persons have recovered and 4,404 persons have died.
