Srinagar, Sep 1: Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday witnessed one death and 110 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,319.
With one more death, the death toll in the UT has reached to 4,409 and 110 fresh positive cases reported on Wednesday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 325,529.
Of the exact number of 325,529 cases, 202,490 are from Kashmir division and 123,039 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 110 new cases, 94 belong to Kashmir division while as 16 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 202,490 including 199,233 recoveries and 2,243 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 123,039 including 120,568 recoveries and 2,166 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,319 including 1,014 from Kashmir division and 305 from Jammu division.
With 120 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 319,801 which is 98.25 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 52 from Srinagar, 07 from Baramulla, 18 from Budgam, 01 from Pulwama, 04 from Kupwara, 00 from Anantnag, 06 from Bandipora, 04 from Ganderbal, 01 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 16 from Jammu division include 07 from Jammu, 01 from Udhampur, 01 from Rajouri, 04 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 01 from Kishtwar, 01 from Poonch, 01 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Wednesday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 45. One covid death was at SKIMS Soura
As per officials figures, 72,501 positive cases including 835 deaths and 71,143 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,945 including 282 deaths and 23,522 recoveries are from Baramulla, 23,211 including 22,862 recoveries and 207 deaths are from Budgam, 15,342 including 15,101 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,247 including 166 deaths and 14,048 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,452 including 16,222 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,644 cases including 9,501 and 101 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,129 including 10,004 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,420 including 11,296 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,599 including 5,534 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 53,027 including 51,794 recoveries and 1,142 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,381 including 11,237 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,097 including 10,835 recoveries and 235 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,576 including 7,356 recoveries and 130 deaths are from Doda, 9,286 including 9,131 recoveries and 151 deaths are from Kathua, 7,136 including 7,012 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,781 including 4,688 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,318 including 6,209 recoveries and 97 deaths are from Poonch, 5,995 including 5,917 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,442 including 6,389 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 3,240,528 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 9,581 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,319 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,757,686 persons have completed the surveillance period and 467,533 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 13,423,728 samples are available. Out of 13,423,728 the number of samples tested negative stands at 13,098,199 while as 325,529 have tested positive, among them 1,319 persons are active, 319,801 persons have recovered and 4,409 persons have died.
