Shopian, Sep 6: The District Development Council (DDC) Shopian, Chairperson, Bilqees Jan Monday released a book ‘Evaluation Report’ on Prime Ministers Development Package (PMDP) in presence of DDC Members of Hermain, Imamsahib and Joint Director Planning, Shopian, Khursheed Ahmed Khatana at Mini Secretariat Arhama, here.
The Book was prepared by the District Statistics and Evaluation Office, Shopian.
Speaking on the occasion, Joint Director Planning said that the main objective of the mission is to promote holistic growth of the horticulture sector and also to improve socio-economic condition of farmers, enhance horticulture production and create employment generation opportunities for rural youth in the horticulture sector.
He said that for the upliftment and development of the horticulture sector the Government implemented various schemes both at central and state level from time to time which covered various aspects of the fruit production.
District Statistics and Evaluation Officer and other Officials of District Statistics and Evaluation Office Shopian were present on the occasion.
