The much-awaited decision of reopening of schools in Jammu and Kashmir, have been announced by the government, bringing smiles on the faces of the students as well as their parents. The educational institutions remained closed for nearly two years now in wake of the outbreak of Covid-19 in the recently carved Union Territory. However, the government has said that the students, who are vaccinated, will be allowed to attend the classes. Thus, the government has made vaccination mandatory for the students vis-à-vis attending the classes. The students, who have not received their Covid shots so far, have been directed to get inoculated as soon as possible so that the school activities would resume again and they will be allowed to sit in the classes. Getting inoculation is must to fight the pandemic, thus, the students must not continue with the vaccine hesitancy and visit the particular places for receiving the Covid jabs. The government must enhance the number of vaccination camps in the schools and other places, so that the large number of students, who are to be vaccinated, will get the jabs without any hindrances. The students, at this juncture, must take a lead with regard to vaccination so that the schools are functional at a shortest possible time and the education will not suffer any further.
