DC Kulgam holds meeting with PRI members

Kulgam, Sep 9: The District Developmental Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat along with other officers Thursday held a daylong meeting with PRI members including District Development Council members and BDCs at rest house, here.
During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held to set pace to the developmental scenario and to utilize the rest of the working season properly.
Present in the meeting were District Development Council Chairperson, M Afzal Parrey, Vice Chairperson, Shazia Jan, and other DDC, BDC and PRI members besides ADDC, ADC, ACR, ACP, Executive Engineers from PDD, I&FC, REW, R&B and PMGSY besides CAO and other officers attended the meeting.
During the meeting, progress and implementation of the District Capex budget 2021-22 was also reviewed.
Joint Director Planning Kulgam, Zahid Sajad through a powerpoint presentation highlighted the progress and implementation status of District Capex Budget 2021-22.
It was given out that the approved District Capex Budget for the year 2021-22 was 537 crore and 50 percent funds stands released.
While giving an abstract of approved works under District Capex, the Joint Director apprised the meeting that there were 2236 number of works under ADF, and 1556 works accorded and 1319 works have been tendered whereas 170 works stands allotted under DCB-2021-22.
The DC stressed upon the PRI members to formulate and submit the revised plan of DCB for further course of action within the set timeline.
He also stressed upon these members to monitor the developmental works personally which will ensure timely completion of these work projects.
He assured full cooperation to PRI’s and termed their role imperative in development and execution and implementation of various flagship schemes.
While speaking on the occasion the District Development Council Kulgam, Chairperson, M Afzal Parrey said that DDC’s, BDC’s, PRI members along with district administration are committed for equitable development and growth of the district and collectively all have to achieve this goal.
