JK reports 102 new coronavirus cases

Srinagar, Oct 5: Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday witnessed 102 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,074 while no death was reported in the last 24 hours.
With no more deaths, the death toll in the UT stands at 4,424 and 102 fresh positive cases reported on Tuesday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 329,991.
Of the exact number of 329,991 cases, 206,051 are from Kashmir division and 123,940 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 102 new cases, 73 belong to Kashmir division while as 29 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 206,051 including 202,974 recoveries and 2,250 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 123,940 including 121,519 recoveries and 2,174 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,074 including 827 from Kashmir division and 247 from Jammu division.
With 185 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 324,493 which is 98.33 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 41 from Srinagar, 09 from Baramulla, 07 from Budgam, 05 from Pulwama, 04 from Kupwara, 01 from Anantnag, 02 from Bandipora, 04 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 29 from Jammu division include 08 from Jammu, 03 from Udhampur, 06 from Rajouri, 01 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 02 from Kishtwar, 09 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Tuesday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 46.
As per officials figures, 74,490 positive cases including 840 deaths and 73,182 recoveries are from Srinagar, 24,356 including 282 deaths and 23,969 recoveries are from Baramulla, 23,630 including 23,336 recoveries and 207 deaths are from Budgam, 15,483 including 15,256 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,365 including 166 deaths and 14,175 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,536 including 16,306 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,764 cases including 9,624 and 102 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,341 including 10,221 recoveries and 79 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,479 including 11,359 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,607 including 5,546 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 53,215 including 51,996 recoveries and 1,144 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,406 including 11,263 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,245 including 10,980 recoveries and 237 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,801 including 7,610 recoveries and 133 deaths are from Doda, 9,307 including 9,153 recoveries and 151 deaths are from Kathua, 7,150 including 7,026 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,816 including 4,769 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,375 including 6,249 recoveries and 98 deaths are from Poonch, 6,035 including 5,946 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,590 including 6,527 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 3,577,127 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 6,775 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,074 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 3,102,793 persons have completed the surveillance period and 462,061 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 15,092,025 samples are available. Out of 15,092,025 the number of samples tested negative stands at 14,762,034 while as 329,991 have tested positive, among them 1,074 persons are active, 324,493 persons have recovered and 4,424 persons have died.
