Efforts being made to ensure equitable development, corruption free govt: Prahlad Patel

Reasi, Oct 26: The Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti, Food Processing Industries, Prahlad Singh Patel Tuesday visited Reasi where he interacted with the public representatives and participated in various activities.
On the occasion the minister said that the Government is making best efforts to ensure that benefits of development reach all sections of the society without discrimination. The Minister assured that all the demands of the people in the area will be fulfilled on a priority basis.
The Union Minister said that the purpose of his visit is to assess the progress of implementation of Government schemes on the ground and get a direct response from the public.
Commenting on increasing the standard of health care in the area, the minister said that the Ayushman Bharat initiative of the Prime Minister has ensured financial assistance for medical treatment of different sections of the society. He added that efforts are being made to ensure equitable development and corruption free government for the overall welfare of the society.
Later, the Minister visited Thanpal Fish Farm where he inspected different departmental stalls displayed by various departments of district Reasi. Calling the planning approach a bottom-up model, he advised the elected representatives to effectively monitor the progress of various projects for maximum benefits.
Emphasizing on the Central Government’s commitment to bring a new era of Development in J&K, the Minister said that it is for the first time in the history of J&K that Central Ministers are visiting villages to interact and get the first hand appraisal of their problems and feedback about the implementation of the schemes.
DDC Chairman Reasi Saraf Singh Nag; DC Reasi, Charandeep Singh; ADDC Jyoti Salathia, ADC Abdul Star, CPO, POICDS and other senior officers were also present in the public outreach programme.
