The unemployment has taken a heavy toll on the Homeopathic doctors as according to them, it has been ten years since the government has not come up with the advertisement of fresh posts. The Homeopathic doctors have been pressing for their demands since long, but didn’t meet so far, thus leaving them to lurch at large. The unemployed doctors held protest demonstrations several times in the past to pitch for their demands. Similarly, in a presser held Monday, they stated Homeopathy is being practiced globally and in India as well. However, in Kashmir, the concerned doctors have been facing injustice for the last 10 years. It is notable to mention here that more than 400 Homeopathic doctors have registered themselves from 2003 in which approximately 37 doctors have been appointed through PSC while 10 doctors have been appointed through NHN whereas rest are still unemployed and many have also crossed their age bar. During the recent visits by the Union Ministers, they highlighted the role of AYUSH and claimed that every possible step will be taken in this regard. The statements by the Union Ministers indicate the seriousness of the government towards AYUSH. In view of the sufferings of Homeopathic doctors, the government should take immediate steps and come up with fresh posts so that the families of these Homeopathic doctors could get their bread and butter. The ten years of await must come to an end so that they could heave a sigh of relief.
