Secretary Tribal Affairs inspects transit accommodation site on Mughal Road

Shopian, Nov 6: Secretary, Tribal Affairs, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary Saturday inspected ongoing works on Transit Accommodation Site for Tribal Population being constructed by Wild Life Warden near Lal Gulam Bridge on Mughal Road here.
District Development Commissioner, Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya; Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) and Wildlife Warden, Intesar Suhail and other Senior officers of forest and other allied departments accompanied the Secretary during the visit.
During the inspection, the Secretary took a comprehensive review of construction work of Transit Accommodation Site for Tribal Population, protection works, repairing of potholes at various locations including the site near Lal Ghulam Bridge.
While inspecting the site, Secretary Tribal Affairs directed the concerned executing agencies to speed up the pace of work on the project and also gear up men and machinery for completing the project in stipulated time frame. He asked them to ensure productive and fruitful utilization of the available resources for the area.
The Secretary expressed satisfaction at the level of improvement of Mughal Road and said that condition of Mughal Road has improved significantly causing great relief to common masses especially tribal population.
The Secretary also paid obeisance at Aastan-i-Aaliya Peer Ki Gali in Shopian district and appealed the visitors there to contribute in preserving the fragile ecology of Peer ki Gali.
He issued instructions to the concerned for making a comprehensive plan for beautification and face lifting of Pir ki Gali including Ziarat Sharief.
