Coronavirus: JK logs 192 new cases

Srinagar, Dec 9: Jammu and Kashmir Thursday reported 192 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,696, while no death has been reported in the last 24 hours.
With no more deaths, the death toll in the UT stands at 4,489 and 192 fresh positive cases reported on Thursday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 338,390.
Of the exact number of 338,390 cases, 212,874 are from Kashmir division and 125,516 from Jammu division. Officials said that among 192 new cases, 134 belong to Kashmir division while as 58 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 212,874 including 209,368 recoveries and 2,300 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 125,516 including 122,837 recoveries and 2,189 deaths
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,696 including 1,206 from Kashmir division and 490 from Jammu division.
With 135 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 332,205 which is 98.18 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 65 from Srinagar, 24 from Baramulla,19 from Budgam, 02 from Pulwama, 05 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 07 from Bandipora, 10 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 58 from Jammu division include 33 from Jammu, 04 from Udhampur, 04 from Rajouri, 01 from Doda, 04 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 03 from Kishtwar, 06 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 03 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Thursday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 49.
As per officials figures, 77,769 positive cases including 870 deaths and 76,341 recoveries are from Srinagar, 25,640 including 289 deaths and 25,092 recoveries are from Baramulla, 24,316 including 24,001 recoveries and 211 deaths are from Budgam, 15,634 including 15,405 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,809 including 167 deaths and 14,583 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,694 including 16,469 recoveries and 207 deaths are from Anantnag, 10,066 cases including 9,882 and 106 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,808 including 10,646 recoveries and 80 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,524 including 11,395 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,614 including 5,554 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 53,800 including 52,468 recoveries and 1,153 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,449 including 11,305 recoveries and 138 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,347 including 11,092 recoveries and 238 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,969 including 7,802 recoveries and 134 deaths are from Doda, 9,367 including 9,201 recoveries and 152 deaths are from Kathua, 7,169 including 7,042 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,838 including 4,790 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,551 including 6,424 recoveries and 100 deaths are from Poonch, 6,057 including 5,990 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,966 including 6,723 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 4,712,257 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 3,665 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,696 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 4,273,242 persons have completed the surveillance period and 429,165 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 18,103,868 samples are available. Out of 18,103,868 the number of samples tested negative stands at 17,765,478 while as 338,390 have tested positive, among them 1,696 persons are active, 332,205 persons have recovered and 4,489 persons have died.
