Srinagar, Dec 10: Jammu and Kashmir Friday reported one death and 173 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,618.
With one more death, the death toll in the UT stands at 4,490 and 173 fresh positive cases reported on Friday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 338,563.
Of the exact number of 338,563 cases, 213,003 are from Kashmir division and 125,560 from Jammu division. Officials said that among 173 new cases, 129 belong to Kashmir division while as 44 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 213,003 including 209,506 recoveries and 2,301 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 125,560 including 122,949 recoveries and 2,189 deaths
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,618 including 1,196 from Kashmir division and 422 from Jammu division.
With 250 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 332,455 which is 98.20 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 59 from Srinagar, 17 from Baramulla,12 from Budgam, 11 from Pulwama, 04 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 08 from Bandipora, 13 from Ganderbal, 03 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 44 from Jammu division include 25 from Jammu, 01 from Udhampur, 01 from Rajouri, 05 from Doda, 01 from Kathua, 02 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 03 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 06 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Friday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 49.
As per officials figures, 77,828 positive cases including 870 deaths and 76,388 recoveries are from Srinagar, 25,657 including 289 deaths and 25,134 recoveries are from Baramulla, 24,328 including 24,012 recoveries and 212 deaths are from Budgam, 15,645 including 15,406 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,813 including 167 deaths and 14,589 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,696 including 16,472 recoveries and 207 deaths are from Anantnag, 10,074 cases including 9,905 and 106 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,821 including 10,651 recoveries and 80 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,527 including 11,395 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,614 including 5,554 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 53,825 including 52,485 recoveries and 1,153 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,450 including 11,306 recoveries and 138 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,348 including 11,092 recoveries and 238 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,974 including 7,802 recoveries and 134 deaths are from Doda, 9,368 including 9,201 recoveries and 152 deaths are from Kathua, 7,171 including 7,044 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,838 including 4,791 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,554 including 6,427 recoveries and 100 deaths are from Poonch, 6,057 including 5,990 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,975 including 6,811 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 4,738,498 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 4,574 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,618 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 4,299,057 persons have completed the surveillance period and 428,759 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 18,162,649 samples are available. Out of 18,162,649 the number of samples tested negative stands at 17,824,086 while as 338,563 have tested positive, among them 1,618 persons are active, 332,455 persons have recovered and 4,490 persons have died.
