Pulwama, Dec 20: The Jammu and Kashmir Police claimed to have arrested two militant associates of Jaish- e – Mohammad militant outfit in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
“On specific information about the movements of ANEs police Pulwama with assistance of 55 RR and 182 Bn CRPF arrested two associates of prescribed outfit Jaish -e- Mohammad involved in providing shelter, logistics and other support to the militants as well as in transporting of arms/ ammunition and explosive material for the militants in Awantipora and Tral areas,” an official police handout said.
The statement reads that the arrested militant associates were in touch with JeM commanders and were involved in transportation of arms, ammunition and were providing other logistic support to strengthen the militant network.
Arrested terror associates have been identified as Umer Ramzan, a resident of Brabandina and Javid Ah Mala, a resident of Khelan area.
Indiscriminate material of proscribed outfit JeM has been recovered from them. Cases under relevant sections of law stand registered against them in Police Station Litter.
