Srinagar, Dec 22: Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday reported one death and 125 fresh positive cases of COVID-19, thus taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,308.
With one more death, the death toll in J&K has reached 4,515 and 125 fresh positive cases reported on Wednesday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 340,161.
Of the exact number of 334,161 cases, 214,240 are from Kashmir division and 125,921 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 125 new cases, 97 belong to Kashmir division while as 28 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 214,240 including 210,951 recoveries and 2,319 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 125,921 including 123,387 recoveries and 2,196 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,308 including 970 from Kashmir division and 338 from Jammu division.
With 143 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 334,338 which is 98.28 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 47 from Srinagar, 17 from Baramulla, 09 from Budgam, 01 from Pulwama, 09 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 06 from Bandipora, 03 from Ganderbal, 03 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 28 from Jammu division include 20 from Jammu, 01 from Udhampur, 03 from Rajouri, 01 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 03 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 50.
As per officials figures, 78,410 positive cases including 879 deaths and 77,052 recoveries are from Srinagar, 25,845 including 290 deaths and 25,398 recoveries are from Baramulla, 24,433 including 24,165 recoveries and 214 deaths are from Budgam, 15,684 including 15,463 recoveries and 195 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,925 including 167 deaths and 14,681 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,719 including 16,495 recoveries and 208 deaths are from Anantnag, 10,137 cases including 9,969 and 109 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,929 including 10,763 recoveries and 81 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,542 including 11,410 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,616 including 5,555 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 54,025 including 52,664 recoveries and 1,156 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,465 including 11,315 recoveries and 138 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,370 including 11,111 recoveries and 239 deaths are from Rajouri, 8,014 including 7,846 recoveries and 136 deaths are from Doda, 9,379 including 9,219 recoveries and 153 deaths are from Kathua, 7,174 including 7,051 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,847 including 4,798 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,582 including 6,461 recoveries and 100 deaths are from Poonch, 6,068 including 5,990 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,997 including 6,932 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 5,049,215 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 7,916 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,308 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 4,603,628 persons have completed the surveillance period and 431,848 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 18,804,238 samples are available. Out of 18,804,238 the number of samples tested negative stands at 18,464,077 while as 340,161 have tested positive, among them 1,308 persons are active, 334,338 persons have recovered and 4,515 persons have died.
