DC Kupwara chairs public darbar at Manigah

Kupwara, Jan 1: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din Saturday visited block Hyhama and inspected various ongoing developmental works. He also chaired a public darbar at Manigah village to address the issues of the people.
The DC in his address said that a three tier Panchayati Raj system has been established for overall development of the people at all levels.
He urged upon the people to participate in Gram sabhas for proper planning and development of their villages and to ensure genuineness of the works being executed.
He also gave awareness to the people about ‘Aap Ki Zameen Aap Ki Nigrani’ (AZAN), land records information system wherein they access their land records.
Earlier, the PRIs and the local people put forth their day to day issues before the DC. The issues raised include development of playfield, power supply, water supply etc.
The DC heard them patiently and issued on spot directions to the concerned Officers for resolving the issues raised by the people.
During the visit, the DC inspected various developmental works of RDD, PDD and R&B. He inspected the construction of Manigah-C to Sonawali-C road and was informed about a dispute over the construction of the road.
The DC directed the concerned to establish a technical team for resolving the dispute.
Several public delegations met the DC on the way and apprised him about their developmental issues.
ACP Kupwara, DFO, BDO, Tehsildar, Ex. Engineer R&B and I&FC and other concerned accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.
