Put an end to curtailments

The residents living in Old city areas of Srinagar have been facing curtailment in mobile internet services from the past over one month, thus leaving them to lurch at large. The students, living within the areas have been most affected due to the curtailment in the mobile internet services as this schedule has come at the time when the student community is getting education through the online mode in wake of the Covid resurgence in Jammu and Kashmir. The government has already ordered closure of all the coaching centres due to the rise in Covid cases in a bid to prevent the virus from spreading. Notably, Jammu and Kashmir has recorded a spike in the Covid cases from the last nearly two weeks, forcing the government to take a series of measures to prevent the deadly virus from spreading. In one such move, the government ordered the educational institutions to start an online mode of education. The education without mobile internet services is certainly getting affected, thus leaving them to lurch at large. Moreover, the business community too has been facing hardships due to the curtailment in the mobile internet services. The government in order to put an end to the sufferings of the people should consider directing the concerned authorities to ensure mobile internet services without any curtailment so that the people especially the students could heave a sigh of relief.
