Srinagar, Feb 10: Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday claimed to have solved a burglary case in which burglars on 03 February 2022 had stolen golden ornaments and cash from a house located in Khilafa Pora Khanyar.
A police spokesman in a statement said that a case under FIR number 03/2022 under section 454/380 IPC was registered in Police Station Khnayar and investigation was started.
During the investigation two suspects, Umer Gulzar Wadoo of Babapora Habakadal and Shakil Ahmad Shah of Kailashpora were questioned, who confessed to the commission of crime, police said.
They were arrested and stolen property including one Golden coin (Pound), two golden chains (01 big and one small , 02 Pendants, a pair of tops, a pair of earrings, a pair of rings and 02 Bangles were recovered on the instance of accused, police said, adding that the total value of the recovered jewellery amounts to Rs 3 lacs approximately.
