Keep Kashmir connected

The back to back attacks on girls in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir is indicating a worrisome situation within the society while many believe that today’s episode at Batamaloo area here is an outcome of the drug menace, which is increasing at a rapid pace. Most of the people believe that the robbery and theft cases are increasing due to the rise in drug menace as the people involved in it are turning out to be a great threat to the society, who not only indulge in theft cases, but prove scary for the people as well. Today’s incident at Batamaloo has shaken the consciousness of every individual as this episode cannot even be imagined, which was not less than a bollywood movie scripted shoot. Two minor siblings were attacked and injured by two persons after they attempted to loot money from their house and also tied them with the rope, besides attacking them with a knife. The ‘rowdism’ by the two Srinagar residents has created a panic within the society and also fear among the womenfolk as well. It is believed that such thefts are taking place for the need of drugs among the people. In case the drug menace continues, there is every possibility of more such incidents in the future. Therefore, in order to put brakes on such shameful and gruesome incidents, the government agencies as well as the local people have to work in tandem to ensure that the drug menace is shown doors here and the properties as well as the lives of people are protected from the persons like these two.
