Srinagar, Feb 24: Jammu and Kashmir Thursday reported 75 fresh cases pushing the number of active cases to 1,087 while as no death was reported in last 24 hours in the UT.
With no more death, the death toll in J&K stands at 4,748 and 75 fresh positive cases reported on Thursday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 452,722.
Officials said that among 75 new cases, 23 belong to Kashmir division while as 52 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 286,964 including 284,101 recoveries and 2,423 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 165,758 including 162,786 recoveries and 2,325 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,087 including 440 from Kashmir division and 647 from Jammu division.
With 353 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 446,887 which is 98.71 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 12 from Srinagar, 03 from Baramulla, 02 from Budgam, 00 from Pulwama, 01 from Kupwara, 00 from Anantnag, 00 from Bandipora, 00 from Ganderbal, 05 from Kulgam and 00 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 52 from Jammu division include 18 from Jammu district, 04 from Udhampur, 00 from Rajouri, 22 from Doda, 05 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 02 from Ramban and 01 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.
As per officials figures, 102,161 positive cases including 907 deaths and 100,998 recoveries are from Srinagar, 37,571 including 304 deaths and 37,194 recoveries are from Baramulla, 34,791 including 34,531 recoveries and 237 deaths are from Budgam, 18,416 including 18,212 recoveries and 201 deaths are from Pulwama, 21,701 including 174 deaths and 21,514 recoveries are from Kupwara, 22,418 including 22,181 recoveries and 219 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,666 cases including 13,534 and 118 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,626 including 13,533 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 16,310 including 16,169 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,304 including 6,235 recoveries and 60 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 75,876 including 74,429 recoveries and 1,222 deaths are from Jammu district, 14,750 including 14,572 recoveries and 147 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,795 including 12,537 recoveries and 249 deaths are from Rajouri, 11,450 including 11,085 recoveries and 144 deaths are from Doda, 11,390 including 11,183 recoveries and 166 deaths are from Kathua, 9,077 including 8,938 recoveries and 125 deaths are from Samba, 5,871 including 5,796 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,733 including 7,608 recoveries and 110 deaths are from Poonch, 8,117 including 7,999 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,699 including 8,639 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 6,091,647 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 33,257 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,087 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 5,606,490 persons have completed the surveillance period and 446,065 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 23,067,287 samples are available. Out of 23,067,287 the number of samples tested negative stands at 22,614,565 while as 452,722 have tested positive, among them 1,087 cases are active, 446,887 have recovered and 4,748 persons have died.
