Srinagar, Mar 23: In a bid to eradicate drug menace from the society, the divisional administration Kashmir on Wednesday said that six drugs counselling centres have been made available in different districts.
Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir P K Pole, said that besides coming up with drugs counselling centres, adequate contractual employees have been made available at hospitals for counselling of the youth involved in drug addiction.
“These youth are victims. They are being forced to pick up guns and take drugs,” he said, adding that the district administration Srinagar has already started a process against the drug addicts and those involved in drug dealing are being booked under PSA.
Speaking on the sidelines of ‘Run for No Drugs’, Pole said that the students both boys and girls participated in the event.
