E-rickshaws- A respite for Srinagarities

As the government has claimed to have taken steps to augment the sports infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir, the disturbing reports coming to the fore are putting a question mark over the claims of the administration. Reports suggest that several Indoor Sports Stadiums have come up at different places in recent, but some of them are still lacking the basic facilities, thus leaving the youth to lurch at large. At one of the Indoor sports Stadium in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, the authorities have so far failed to ensure proper electricity, equipment and also a well-trained coach to teach the aspiring youth. The empty building will not help the youth to showcase their skills, but it needs a lot of effort, hard work and much more. One fails to understand what strategy is available with the government in wake of the new indoor sports stadiums. There is a need to understand that besides coming up with the new structures, the further measures to ensure assistance to the youth is pivotal. Although, the government has claimed to have taken steps to ensure all the facilities, but the concerned department should also identify all such places and classify the required items including the coaches so that the necessary steps and measures are taken well on time to put an end to the sufferings of the youth, who are playing different games like Taekwondo, Wushu, Kung Fu and others.
