Bidhuri reviews progress on digitization of Revenue records of Budgam district

Budgam, Apr 4: Commissioner Secretary Revenue, Vijay Kumar Monday chaired a meeting to review the progress of digitization of Revenue records in Budgam District.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza; ADC, Dr Nasir Ahmad; ACR, Shabir Ul Hassan; SDM Chadoora, Tehsildars and other revenue officers of the district.
Chairing the meeting, Commissioner Secretary emphasized on expediting the digitization of Revenue records and directed concerned officers to ensure completion of digitization of pending Jamabandis by 30th April in the district.
Stressing on completion of jamabandis and digitization of records in time, Commissioner Secretary asked the officers that expediting this process is must for issuance of land passbooks from August 15, 2022.
He remarked that the digitization of records will ensure hassle- free public service delivery in prompt and transparent manner.
The Commissioner Secretary instructed all Tehsildars to ensure that all patwaris attend the duty roster in letter and spirit and remain at offices from 10am- 12pm at their offices, without any failure.
He said all patwaris shall be provided with permanent alternate officials phone numbers for the public convenience and prompt public service delivery.
The Commissioner Secretary directed all Tehsildars to ensure retrieval of all encroached kahcharai and state land in the district and seizure of the property raised on the encroached land.
The Commissioner Secretary during the meeting also reviewed progress of many issues like Mutations, issuance of Domicile Certificates, strength of staff including patwaris, girdawars at Tehsil offices, office accommodation and other revenue department related issues of the district.
