A decade of Digital India

There are dozens of incidents when the people, especially women allege pickpocketing in the markets. Ahead of the Muslim festival, Eid-ul-Fitr, the markets were abuzz with the shoppers here in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir and other districts as well. However, the street vendors and the shoppers were making announcements with regard to the pick pocketing, appealing people to beware of the thieves. There are multiple places where these robbers keep roaming freely to pickpocket. Besides pickpocketing, the incidents of robbery of shops and residential houses have also increased here in the Valley. The authorities, however, have been working hard to put an end to such incidents and have so far arrested many robbers, who are involved in loot of shops or houses. There are people, who believe that such incidents are on rise due to the involvement of youth in drug menace. Drug addiction is beloved a reason behind the pickpocket and burglary incidents at shops and residential houses. However, as the police is putting efforts to eradicate such crime from the society by arresting the burglars, there is a need to remain vigilant at home, shop and especially in the market places to avoid any such tragedy and incident with them, so that such attempts are prevented and the people here could heave a sigh of relief. There is a need to take a stringent action against those involved in the robbery and pickpocketing so that these burglars would refrain from such attempts in the future.
