Sonamarg, May 9: Inhabitants of Shutkadi Sonamarg area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district held protest against the installation of the smart meters.
The protesters both men and women blocked the Srinagar-Kargil road, prompting police to rush to the spot.
One of the protesters said that they are already receiving exorbitant electricity bills, and with the installation of smart meters, they have to empty their pockets from all their savings.
