Budgam, May 24: A class 9 student from Kawoosa Narbal area in Budgam has developed a unique pollution catcher model.
“I have developed a unique acid rain controller or we can say a pollution catcher model. The device can provide clean oxygen by absorbing fumes and contaminants,” Zahoor Ahmed Wani said. “Once I was passing in front of a factory and I saw a lot of smoke coming out of it. That time, thought came to my mind that there must be a machine that could convert smoke into pure oxygen.”
According to Zahoor, after doing a lot of research on it, he reached the conclusion that a machine could be made that could turn smoke into pure oxygen.
“As of now, I have made its model and it will help in reducing air pollution. But unfortunately I couldn’t afford its filter as I belong to a poor family which costs near about Rs 2 lakh,” he added.
Zahoor’s parents have appealed to the administration to help their son to complete the model.
