DC Ganderbal chairs DAC meeting on PCPNDT Act

Ganderbal, Jun 9: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir who is also Chairman District Advisory Committee (DAC) on PCPNDT (Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques) Act, convened a meeting regarding issuance of registration certificate under PCPNDT Act.
During the meeting, the DC took a detailed account of M/S Pure Health Smart Clinic near SDH Kangan and M/S Medicom Health Care Diagnostic & Polyclinic on Benhama Lar Bypass road. Provision of registration, inspection, mechanism for monitoring and implementation of PCPNDT Act was also discussed.
After thorough discussion, both the USG clinics were approved for fresh registration.
The DC stressed upon effective implementation of the PCPNDT Act and asked for conducting random inspections of ultrasound clinics to enforce its compliance in the district. CMO was also directed to ensure proper maintenance of the register of clinical establishments.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer Ganderbal, Dr. Afroza, MS District hospital, Dr Nighat and other committee members.
