Pattan, Jun 9: Inhabitants of Goushbugh Pattan on Thursday staged a protest against the authorities for failing to provide better drainage facilities to them.
Scores of locals including women assembled at Main Sumo Stand to protest over the lack of proper drainage system in the area, which according to them lead to frequent water logging during rains.
A local resident, Mehraj-ud-din said that the inhabitants of Keker-mohalla Goushbugh are facing immense hardships due to water logging as the authorities have failed to ensure proper drainage system in the area.
Another protester said that despite repeated requested to the concerned authorities to lay a drainage system in the area, nothing has been done in this regard.
Meanwhile, the residents of the area appealed the concerned authorities to construct a proper drainage system in the area so they could heave a sigh of relief.
