The ongoing protest by the Doctors at Chest Disease hospital could be genuine to press for the demands, but at the same time is nothing less than an immature act by the medicos as their protest strike is affecting the treatment of the admitted patients. There is no iota of doubt that the mishandling of doctors at the hospital is not shameful and mischievous, but there is a need to understand that the strike is affecting the health of many patients as the patient-care has gone badly affected due to the protest. Some attendants of a patient have mishandled the doctors, but is it genuine to put all the patients in trouble? What if a patient dies at the hospital during the ongoing protests, will doctors be able to give the life to the patient again? Will they be able to convince their attendants that they were on the right path? Immaturity has no space within society. Be it Doctor or any other profession, the lives of people are priority and no one should be allowed to play with the lives of people and thus the government must swing into action and play its role in normalizing the situation within the hospital. The health department should not act as mute spectators, but must talk to the doctors and convince them not to go on strike, but press for the demands normally. Besides, the government should also hear the pleas of the doctors at earliest to ensure that the mishandling and other related actions against them are prevented.
