Missing man’s body recovered from Shopian forest

Shopian, Jun 11: Mauled by a leopard, the dead body of a missing man has been retrieved from Heerpora forest area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district, official sources said.
Mushtaq Ahmed Khatana son of Doda Khatana had gone missing on 23 May last month.
Family had registered a missing report at the police station, claiming that the missing man is mentally unsound.
Locals and police recovered his body from the forest area. A police official said that the face of the deceased is mauled by a wild animal probably a leopard.
Police handed over the body to the family and registered a case in this regard. (KNT)
