Srinagar, Jun 14: Department of Floriculture will upgrade different public parks across Srinagar city.
The department has already equipped Childrens Park with the latest recreational facility and now it is mulling revamping ‘Joggers Park’ located in Raj Bagh area of Srinagar city.
Director Floriculture Farooq Ahmed Rather said that they have already upgraded a number of public parks including the Childrens Park. “There are dozens of parks on our list that will be revamped,” he said adding that this will give a boost to the tourism sector and further local population will be benefited.
“It may seem that we are spending less on public parks, but the infrastructure that is being developed speaks a lot about our efforts. We don’t believe in publicity but what actually matters is the work on the ground,” he said. (KNT)
