Er Aijaz calls on Union Health Minister in Srinagar

Discusses prevailing Health Care scenario in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jun 21: Young BJP leader and DDC member for Khonmoh Er Aijaz Hussain today met Union Health Minister Smt Bharti pawar in Srinagar and discussed a series of issues related to Health sector of Jammu and Kashmir and the way forward.
In a statement, Er Aijaz said that he met smt Bharti Pawar, who is on a two-day visit to Kashmir and held a threadbare discussion on the status of health sector and family welfare in Jammu and Kashmir.
Er Aijaz said that he briefed the Union Health Minister about the status of various health related schemes and progress thereof. He said that he also told the Union Health Minister about the need for streamlining the Healthcare system and further upgradation of hospitals, sub-district hospitals, health and primary health centres across the UT.
Er Aijaz also took up the issue of shortage of staff in various hospitals in remote area of Kashmir and Jammu and urged the Union Health minister to work out a plan to provide quality health care to people living in remote areas of Kashmir and Jammu regions.
Er Aijaz also discussed upgradation of district hospitals of Kashmir to prevent frequent referrals and also sought establishment of more maternity and child care hospitals in both regions of the UT.
Er Aijaz also urged the Union Health Minister to approve pending health care funds in Khonmoh DDC constituency and also pass directions for further upgradation of the existing health care system in the constituency. To this, Union Health Minister assured Er Aijaz that all his demands will be taken care off and that the Centre was committed to go for a major revamp vis-à-vis health care system of J&K UT for which funds have already been earmarked.
The Union Health Minister praised the young BJP leader for his commitment towards public welfare and assured him all the possible support from Centre and the Union Health Ministry. Pawar told Er Aijaz to keep the good work going.
Er Aijaz hailed the director health Dr Mushtaq Ahmed for his commitment towards the health sector and stated that under the leadership of Dr Mushtaq, health sector was flourishing.
