Inspects Health Centre, takes stock of developmental activities

Shopian, Jun 25: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Saturday conducted an extensive tour of various areas of the district to assess public issues and take stock of the development works.
During the visit, DC inspected Health and Family Welfare (Sub-Centre) Diaro Keegam and assured health functionaries for providing better supply of electricity to the Sub-Centre in the shortest possible time.
He also inspected the playfield and exhorted upon the concerned Block Development Officer to ensure its timely completion and also emphasised for activating developmental activities to facilitate youth of the area.
While projecting demands people raised various issues like providing of potable drinking water facility, repair of lanes and bye lanes besides other issues of public importance.
The DC gave a patient hearing to all the issues and demands projected on the occasion and assured locals that all their genuine issues will be addressed in a time bound manner.
The DC was accompanied by officers of various departments.
Earlier, Vaishya visited Old Fruit Mandi, Arhama where under anti-encroachment drive, demolition of illegal structures is going on speedily under the supervision of Tehsildar Shopian. He directed for speeding up the process and initiating action against the violators and said that people are requested to co-operate and refrain from such acts else legal action would be initiated and culprits brought under the book.
Later, DC visited Imamsahib and Hapdipora to take stock of ongoing developmental works and directed the concerned to ensure timely completion of the works. He also inspected Jamabandi Digitization Centres Imamsahib, Zainapora and Shopian and impressed upon the concerned to work with dedication and ensure completion of cent percent target in a time bound manner.
