Gurez, Jun 30: The main road in Dawar Gurez is is in a dilapidated condition, complained locals on Thursday.
Locals said that two kilometre stretch in the Dawar Town is full of potholes.
They said it takes more time to pass through the stretch.
Locals said that the bad condition of the road is damaging their vehicles. “Despite manifold problems being faced by them, there has been no action by the authorities to repair and improve the road condition,” the residents said.
Mohammad Shaban, a local said that repeated pleas to the concerned authorities to repair the road yielded nothing. “Our health has been affected due to the dust which arises from this road,” he said.
Locals and shopkeeper of Dawar town urged the authorities concerned to understand the plight of villagers and demanded repair be carried out at the earliest.
Meanwhile, an official said that the road in Dawar town will be repaired very soon. “This issue was already being looked into by the administration,” he said.
