It has been three days since the aspirants of Finance Accounts Assistant (FAA) continued to protest to press for their demands, however, the government has so far remained tight-lipped over the reports of scrapping the job recruitment process, for which these candidates have taken the streets. The protesting candidates have worked hard to make it to the securing marks and simultaneously getting the jobs, but according to them the concerned recruiting agency has claimed to have found some fishy happenings in the process and is mulling to scrap the recruitment process. The candidates have started sit-in from Thursday and have resolved to end the protest only when the government issues the final selection list or come up with the assurances that the job recruitment process will not be scrapped. In such a situation, the career of hundreds of aspirants are at stake. It stands the responsibility of the government to address the concerns of the aspirants at this juncture. There are apprehensions among the aspirants that the scrapping of jobs after completing nearly 90 per cent of the process has become a new norm for the authorities as in the past, the job recruitment process has been scrapped as well. In case of a scam in this recruitment process, the concerned authorities should start a probe and identify all those involved in it and the candidates involved should also be blacklisted. However, the other genuine and deserving candidates should not be pushed to the wall and thus the selection list after the time-bound probe should be released so that the future of the aspirants is safe and secure.
