Anantnag, Jul 23: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Piyush Singla Saturday chaired a meeting of officers and DistrictLevel Committee to review the IEC campaigns conducted by different departments in the district in connection with the celebration of Har Ghar Tiranga under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav programme.
While expressing satisfaction on the progress under the campaign in the district, the DC directed officers to intensify IEC activities for the best implementation of set out modalities for Har Ghar Tiranga Initiative.
Officers of Education, Health, FCS&CA, MCs, RDD, ICDS were instructed to vigorously intensify IEC activities across the length and breadth of the district to reach out to all the inhabitants of the district.
Dr. Piyush pursued IEC Action Plans of concerned departments, besides directing SDMs and Tehsildar to review the campaign in their respective jurisdictions and involve all field functionaries of departments for the IEC campaigns.
Directions were also given to Tehsil and Panchayat Committees for the same.
The meeting was apprised that departments have undertaken IEC activities as per their submitted Action Plans especially by the departments of Information & PR, RDD, Health and FCS&CA.
The DC further said that District Administration has put in place all the necessary arrangements for the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative and urged all the stakeholders to work in coordination and cooperation for observing all the events as per scheduled Action plans.
He also stressed all the stakeholders to strictly observe Flag Code instructions and follow standard protocol to honour the National Flag.
The meeting was attended by ADC Anantnag, CPO, SDMs, ACR, District Level Committee members, Tehsildars and other concerned officials.
