Kulgam, Jul 28: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam Dr. Bilal Mohi Ud Din Bhat Thursday visited several areas of Kulgam to take firsthand appraisal of the situation arising due to rains in these areas.
He also visited Chambagund Bridge and took stock of the restoration work of diversion, here.
During the visit, DC also took stock of pace and progress of work on construction of a 10×40 meter bridge on Kulgam-Chambagund road which is under the execution of R&B and the bridge will come up with an estimated cost of 32 crore.
He directed the officers of the executing agency to mobilize men and machinery and expedite the pace of work to complete the bridge within the given timeline.
Accompanying the DC were ADC, ACD, Tehsildar HQ and other officers.
