Ensure foolproof arrangements for I-Day: DC Kupwara to officers

Kupwara, Aug 4: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir Thursday convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the arrangements being put in place by different departments for smooth celebrations of Independence Day, 2022 in Kupwara district.
The meeting discussed threadbare various issues with regard to smooth conduct of the National Event.
The DC received feedback from the officers with regard to preparations and gave necessary directions to the concerned officers to ensure foolproof arrangements. He asked officers to work in tandem and coordination to yield better results.
The DC asked Chief Education Officer and other concerned to prepare variety of cultural programmes with special focus on patriotism and local culture. He directed them to ensure proper screening of cultural items and select vibrant and energetic items for the celebration. He also stressed the need for selection of cultural items on different themes including Swach Bharat, Online Services, Drug Menace and Environment & Ecology.
Youth Services & Sports department was directed for arrangement of costume for the participating children.
The DC stressed upon all officers and functionaries to ensure their presence at the venue on time.
It was informed that the Police department will arrange DG System for cultural programmes.
Other officers were also directed to ensure foolproof and hassle free arrangements.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat; ASP Kupwara, ACD, ACP, CEO, CMO, Executive Engineer R&B and other concerned attended the meeting.
