After 10 years macadamization work kick-started on Gutlibagh road

Ganderbal, Aug 12: The much awaited wait of Gutlibagh residents Friday came to end when District Development Council (DDC) Chairperson Ganderbal, Nuzhat Ishfaq kick-started macdamization work on Chappergund- Gutlibagh road.
On the occasion, residents expressed gratitude towards the DDC Chairperson for fulfilling the long pending demand and said that a new chapter of development will begin with the macadamization of roads.
Senior officers of the Public Works Department of Ganderbal accompanied the DDC Chairperson on the occasion.
Public delegations present raised various issues related to Jal Shaki, transport, education, lanes and drains, PMAY cases, electricity, irrigation, health besides other issues of public importance.
The DDC Chairperson said that earlier the road was not macadamized and commuters had to face a lot of hardships especially during rainy reason when the road would become slippery and muddy, “Students were particularly affected as they had to travel more than six Kilometers to reach the school that now the road travel will become faster and safer in the area”, Nuzhat said.
She assured the people that all their genuine issues would be taken into consideration in a time bound manner adding that regular feedback would be taken from concerned departments regarding the redressal of genuine issues pertaining to their departments. Besides, the demands which could not be redressed at district level would be forwarded to the higher authorities for the redressal, she added.
DDC member Ganderbal A, Rozy Jan, Sarpanch Nissar Ahmad, Sarpanch Baba Wayil, Mohammad Altaf Shah prominent persons Mohd Tayub Khan, Dr Sanober Khan besides other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
