For the first time since the establishment of Waqf board, the authorities seem resolved towards ending the past unethical practices at the shrines across Jammu and Kashmir as the incumbent panel has started acting tough against the Mujavirs, who had occupied the spots at shrines illegally and asked the officials to remove them as well as their donation boxes at earliest. The people from different walks of life have been raising queries over the donations given by the devotees on regular basis, but barely a few people were knowledgeable about the facts that most of the amount is going into the pockets of Mujavirs, who without any reason, were occupying the spots at shrines and also were seeking donations from the devotees. However, the fresh decision to remove them would certainly end the past practices and the Waqf would be able to get enough donations from the public, which can be used for the betterment of the general public. The incumbent Waqf board has plans to come up with a cancer hospital and much more facilities for the people and such a decision would certainly help in achieving the goal, even in the shortest possible time. The people have been appreciating the move and such a decision was the need of the hour. Nevertheless, besides removing them from the spots in shrines, the government should also investigate the income they have generated from the particular places from the last several decades. It is expected that more stringent and people-friendly decisions would be taken by the Waqf board in the future so that the past illegal and unethical practices are put to an immediate end.
