Safeena Beigh calls General Council meeting

Reviews progress on developmental works

Baramulla, Sep 2: In order to take a review of the works being executed under 14th FCA, Area Development Fund and Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen), a general District Development Council meeting for this fiscal year was Friday held here Dak Bungalow Baramulla under the chairpersonship of the Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC) Baramulla, Safeena Beigh.
The meeting was attended by all the members of the District Development Council, Chairpersons of BDC’s besides Additional District Development Commissioner Aijaz Abdullah Saraf, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Gulzar Ahmad Khan and other officers of concerned departments.
At the outset, the Chairperson, DDC took feedback on the action taken on the issues raised by General Council members in the previous council meetings, and various other developmental issues were also discussed in the meeting.
On the occasion, the chair was apprised about the progress made with regard to the action taken on the issues raised in the previous meetings.
It was also informed in the meeting that the majority of the grievances and issues have been redressed and the works on the rest of the issues are under progress.
After taking a comprehensive review of all the works, the Chairperson, DDC stressed all the officers to work in a collective and collaborative manner with the members of District Development Council to redress the grievances of people effectively.
The progress under Area Development Fund also came into discussion wherein Chairperson DDC was briefed that the estimation and tendering has already been completed and the progress of works are in full swing.
The Chairperson also directed all the concerned officers of line departments for the effective execution of other works proposed under 14th FCA and Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) so that the works are completed in a stipulated time period.
Later, PRIs also raised some issues and grievances of their pursuits during which they were assured that every issue will be seriously looked into for the timely redressal.
