Director I&C Kashmir visits Industrial Estates of Shopian

Shopian, Sep 16: The Director Industries and Commerce (I&C), Kashmir, Salooni Rai Friday visited Industrial Estate Aglar and Industrial Estate Gagren in Shopian and met Unit holders there to redress their issues.
General Manager DIC Shopian; General Manager SICOP Kashmir, Dy. General Manager SICOP and Industrial Association of Aglar Industrial Estate were present on the occasion.
The Industrial Association on the occasion apprised the Director of various development deficits in the Estate and sought their redressal.
The issues flagged-off by the Association include better road connectivity, widening of interior roads, better and regular supply of electricity, circular road towards Industrial Estate, boundary walls, macadamization, construction of drainage system in and around the Industrial Estate, removal of encroachments of land and redressal of Toll issue.
Director I&C assured the association that she will take up the issue with the concerned authorities for redressal and timely action.
The Director passed on spot directions to the General Manager DIC regarding conduct of periodic inspection of units operating in Industrial Estates to ensure effective operation of the units.
Later, the Director accompanied by General Manager DIC and other officers inspected the newly established units of Industrial Estate Aglar and expressed satisfaction for well established units.
The Director also inspected the newly identified IEs at Trenz, Cheq Sidiq Khan, Audora Rampathri, Aripora and Sugan that have recently been transferred to the department.
